An accomplished legal professional with nearly 20 years of experience in the state of Louisiana, Michele Morel spent considerable time as a self-employed general civil lawyer in Luling. During her career as an attorney, she worked closely with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy to teach Louisiana State University students the fundamentals of trial advocacy. In addition to instructing fellow attorneys on deposition skills, Michele Morel was a founding member and serves as vice chairman of the Animal Law Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association. After working as an assistant district attorney in parishes across Louisiana, she became a general jurisdiction judge in the 29th Judicial District.
Before launching her career in law, Michele Morel received a bachelor of arts in French from Louisiana State University and a juris doctorate from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. In her free time, she enjoys visiting historic destinations, learning about animal law, and spending time with friends and family.
